Henry "Hank" McCoy, better known as Beast, is a mutant character appearing in Marvel Comics, most notably as a member of the X-Men.
Beast first appeared in X-Men #1 (1963). Originally possessing large hands and feet, McCoy experimented with his own mutant physiology, leading to his simian, blue-furred appearance.
